MEDIATED COMMUNICATION

 MEDIATED COMMUNICATION

VOICE MAIL

-         Or voice message.
-          It reduces the wasted time and expense that telephone communication frequently involves. With this device, a user is able to receive, send, store, forward or delete telephone messages.

Tips for good voicemail Etiquette

1.)    The length of a voicemail message should be approximately 15-40 seconds.
a.)    Start each voicemail with your full name
b.)    End it by mentioning your contact information. This makes it easy for your listener to call back.
c.)    Laser in your message, say only one thought in each sentence to prevent rambling.
2.)    Each message must state a reason for the receiver to call back. State a reason or a benefit compelling enough for the recipient to stop from what he is doing, write down your number, or save your voicemail and return your call.
3.)    Do not give away the farm. Give just enough details to surely motivate the prospects to call you back.
4.)    Speak clearly. Re-record your message if it is unsatisfactory, not concise, incorrect, or too long.
5.)    Be aware of voicemail security issues. Voicemails are not secured. The message can be listened to by anyone other than the intended receiver, it can be easily forwarded to another person’s phone
